Space precludes us from a lot of detail regarding Sarah being shown in the UK. The highlight must be winning her class (Junior Bitch) in the first UK Championship show to have a Havanese class (UK Toy 2000) which qualified her for Crufts 2001 (the first year that Havanese were eligible to be shown at Crufts). Unfortunately due to the outbreak of foot and mouth in the UK, Crufts was delayed until May resulting in the show being held on my brother's wedding day! Hence Sarah had to miss Crufts that year. She has qualified again for 2002 and we're hoping to attend if Roger's chickenpox has cleared by then (there is always something)!

In 2001 Sarah won Limit Bitch at the first Havanese Club of the UK open show. This was a brilliant show with over 50 Havanese being shown (rather like a speciality show in the US).

Sarah's beautiful mother Ebony also won her class in both UK Toy (2000) and the Havanese Club show. Sarah and Ebony are a beautiful duet for Sarah's breeder who can be rightly proud. We are just as proud with Sarah and Chiqui's performance. Between the three of them they are 3 generations of beautiful bitches.

Sarah was always a naughty little puppy and tended to misbehave somewhat in the ring. She would refuse to walk, preferring instead to jump up at my trousers. Despite of all of this the early part of her career was pretty successful with 8 Best Puppy and 7 Best Junior along with being placed in Group. In the UK the judges submit their reports to the canine press, this is not the same in Spain. Some are copied out below.
